Atlanta, Ga – The HJ Russell family launched their leadership development initiative, Future Fest 2022 Expo, on Friday, September 16, 2022. The event was held at the Woodruff Arts Center with an opening performance from Lifetime’s show Bring It! Dancing Dolls. Following the performance there were greetings from the Russell family and Mayor Andre Dickens.
The event encouraged leadership to nearly 600 individuals, including 5 schools invited from the Dekalb County School System. The event held nine masterclasses and panel discussion to shape the next generation of Atlanta professionals by marketplace leaders in the fields of Technology, Entertainment, and Health & Wellness. Session speakers included, Stedman Graham, Makeba Riddick, Dr. Alduan Tartt, Killer Mike and many others.

On Saturday, the Future Shapers Scholarships Brunch was hosted. The Future Shapers Scholarship Brunch honored leading forces that are shaping and shifting the future through their contributions to their community, public service, and marketplaces. Alongside inspirational live entertainment, exclusive brunch, and scholarship presentations for future industry leaders. Notable Honorees include: John Hope Bryant, Darlene McCoy, MAJOR, Ryan Wilson, Chairman Robb Pitts, Travis Malloy, Stedman Graham, Honorable 'Able' Mable Thomas, and others.
