Why is this affair and organization so important to the ID104 Radio Family? Lillie Mae lost her father, maternal grandmother, and mother to dementia or Alzheimer's. She has been a champion for dementia and Alzheimer's since the tender age of 14.

The History, Mission, Vision, and Purpose of the James M. Dixon Foundation: The James M. Dixon Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization established to aid persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers, as well as the community that supports them. The organization was founded by Dr. Lori M. Dixon James, approximately five years ago to honor her father who passed away from Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Lori understands first-hand the physical, mental, and emotional toll that this incurable disease takes on its patience and their caregivers. The James M. Dixon Foundation is a community staple as it supports other organizations that are actively seeking to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease and other dementia-related illnesses. The Foundation supports those living with Alzheimer's disease, by assisting in helping them live their best lives with the disease, simultaneously supporting the caregivers through the provision of socio-emotional, financial, and spiritual resources. James M. Dixon Foundation is in the community: IN OUR COMMUNITY.

Dr. Lori and her amazing Broad of Directors have a pure dedication and passion for the foundation. We are looking forward to the James M. Dixon Foundation turning five years old in November.
