(DETROIT, MI) There is something to be said about an individual who decides to make his 50th Birthday about his closest friends and their accomplishments. This is how Dave Bishop, also known as Dapper Dave, cultivated the esteemed, distinguished Detroit Choice Awards. This year's Sunday evening presentation was housed at the Historic Garden Theater in Downtown Detroit.
When you arrived at the theater, the ambiance was captivating. From the royal-designed backdrops to the spectacular LED screen housing all sponsors and event partners to the spectacular decor in the theater, the Detroit Choice Awards definitely left everyone motivated and inspired to take charge as agents of change in their respective communities.
Starting out as Dave's Choice Awards, this initiative has always been about community, fellowship, and excellence. Now, the Detroit Choice Awards has set the tone for creating a unified platform to honor individuals of distinction in film & entertainment, politics, community organizing, fashion, and many more categories.
